ReWiGo has served hundreds of clients in over five years of ministry.  These are a few recent clients we've served that have offered to share a piece of their story.  We hope you enjoy!

Mrs. Shirley Thompson

Mrs. Shirley lives with her daughter and caretaker, Joanne Thompson, in Pelzer, SC.  Joanne supports Shirley through her mental health problems but was unable to fix two water damage spots in their bathroom.  The damage truly became an issue when it became difficult for Shirley to carefully maneuver around the bathroom while avoiding the water spots.  Joanne called ReWiGo hoping to find help.  It was an all-day project, but the volunteers fixed the damages and ensured that the repairs would last.  Joanne and Mrs. Shirley appreciated the willingness of the ReWiGo volunteers to do hard labor and produce quality work.

Mr. Johnny Young

Mr. Johnny needed help repairing his home in Clemson, SC.  For the protection of his family, his back porch had to be secured to keep it from falling into the backyard, so ReWiGo volunteers came in to help.  Within a day, the porch was transformed into a sturdy and safe environment for his household.  Johnny claims that ReWiGo volunteers are quality workers, never complain, and are welcome back to his place anytime.

Mrs. Annie Vandiver

Mrs. Annie from Pendleton, SC, was looking for an easier way to move around her home.  She suffers from numerous health problems, including congestive heart failure, diabetes, and kidney disease.  Because of pain in her legs, she uses a wheelchair.  Her family and friends often come to visit and care for her, but she wanted to be able to go outside and enjoy her yard without assistance.  ReWiGo volunteers were able to build a ramp from her back door to the lawn.  Upon seeing the finished product, Annie’s words were, “That’s lovely. I truly appreciate it!”  Her experience is a great example of ReWiGo’s mission to create safe, healthy, sustainable home environments for elderly, disabled, and impoverished people.

These clients have all received help from ReWiGo, but there are hundreds waiting for assistance.  Join us in serving by Getting Involved!
